Using a phone as a tracker

Track a phone with the free Traccar Client app.

An Android or iPhone can report its position with the free Traccar Client app. Your provider registers the phone first and tells you its device identifier.

1. Install Traccar Client from Google Play or the App Store.
2. Device identifier: type the identifier your provider gave you.
3. Server URL: https://iot.brewbyte-tech.com/osmand
4. Location accuracy: high. Frequency: 30 seconds (lower uses more battery).
5. Switch Service status on and allow location all the time.
6. Android: switch battery optimisation off for Traccar Client, or the phone stops it in the background.

The phone appears Online after its first report.
