Using a GT06-type 4G tracker

Point a GT06/Concox-compatible tracker at the Smart Things server by SMS.

Many ready-made trackers speak the GT06 protocol (Concox, Jimi and compatible). Your provider registers the tracker's IMEI first; then you point the tracker at the server.

Setting up by SMS

Send these text messages to the SIM number inside the tracker. Commands differ a little between makers; use the manual of your tracker if one is refused.

SMSWhat it does
APN,<apn>#Mobile internet setting of the SIM (ask the SIM provider)
SERVER,1,<server name>,5023,0#Send positions to the Smart Things server (name and port from your provider)
GMT,E,7,0#Laos / Thailand time zone (UTC+7)
TIMER,10,300#Report every 10 s while driving, every 300 s when parked (if supported)

The tracker answers each SMS with "OK" or the new setting. It appears Online in the portal within a few minutes.

The GT06 server port is a direct TCP connection, not a web address. Your provider gives you the server name and port to use.

SOS, power cut and vibration alarms from the tracker appear under Alerts. Engine cut over GT06 is not available from the portal yet.
